CHRONICLE – MAY 24^th, WEDNESDAY
 

The day of the Saint brothers Cyril and Methodius has come. On this day, paying tribute to their memory, the performances of the choir were sang in Church - Slavonic. With this liturgy, the forum, dedicated to the Saint brothers, ended.

This year, May 24^th coincided with the Leavetaking of Pascha, a day when the service is the same as in the night of Resurrection. This made the service exceptionally bright and festive. The specter from tender emotion to rejoicing was filled with the feelings of the worshipers in the service.

With the help of God, with the help of the Saint brothers Cyril and Methodius, and with the blessing of Abbot Ambrose (Kassinasko), “Bulgarian Collegium HOSANNA” attempted to popularize and honour the names and the deeds of the brothers of Thessaloniki among the non-Slavic nations.

We hope that this endeavor of ours will not fade away in the foolish noise of all worldly vanity.

After the service Father Victor (Matveev) who led the liturgy said: ...We know that the whole church in its entirety – The Ecumenical and that of Slavic origin – all celebrate the Saint brothers Cyril and Methodius today. All pray to them because they are mediators between God and us…

That is why today is a special day for all of us – today we conclude our forum which was held thanks to our brothers from Bulgaria. Today we prayed together to God, we glorified… That is why today our obedience was holding the Divine liturgy with such angelic singing. Thank you for your hard work!

In the Scripture, it says that when we pray for someone, then the heavens pray with us, thus, reside in that state. We are immensely grateful that you give us precisely that prayerful state because that is what the church singing should be about – that a person could understand that during the Diving liturgy one leaves everything else outside the church and here one commences on concentrating namely on the church singing, understanding and preparing oneself for the Kingdom of Heaven. This is how it would be in the Kingdom of Heaven, that is why we thank the Lord for your prayerful singing and we hope that from now on, in the future, we would have the opportunity to continue praying together with you, knowing that nothing in life happens by chance.
 

May God help you, we say thanks unto the Lord for your presence, for your prayerfully singing and do not forget that if we pray to our Saints for something, then we will receive it. If we do not pray, we have nothing. May God help us, and let us thank the Lord one more time for your angelic singing during these festive days!
